Oscars 2015: Sharon Osbourne in furious awards rant at Elton John party – “F**k the Oscars”

We can always rely on Sharon Osbourne to drop the F-bomb at the best moments and by best, we mean at classy and important events.

The former X Factor judge attended Sir Elton John’s Oscars party in Los Angeles on Sunday night and went into a massive rant on-stage at the annual bash, exclaiming: “F**k the Oscars!”

But it’s all for a good cause as there was a method to ex reality star’s madness – she was saying revellers should forget about the awards and concentrate on raising money to beat AIDS.

Singer Sir Elton holds the party each year to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation and Sharon offered a few words of encouragement for fellow party-goers in her own unique style.

She said: “We are not here for the Oscars, we are here to truly fight AIDS. F**k the Oscars!”

A source told the Daily Mirror: “During the [Oscars ceremony] breaks, various celebrities went up onto the stage to encourage guests to donate and raise money for the special cause.

“Sharon is very supportive of the cause, and also very, very passionate so she got up and said how she felt. It is about making money for her, money to help people so she started using the F-word towards the Oscars.

“Elton, who was sat down at a table for the viewing party, didn’t know where to look. He was obviously delighted that Sharon was backing his cause but the swearing was a bit awkward.

“To Elton, it is his biggest event of the year, he is immensely proud of it and he is so grateful for his friends who help him raise awareness and money.”

Erm, well done, Sharon!
