Hotels are supposed to be a haven of peace and tranquility where you can rest after a long day's sightseeing, a day of soaking up the sun on the beach or a hard day’s work.

So, Pamela Anderson had a lucky escape after a naked man was arrested for trying to set fire to a hotel room he reportedly thought was hers.

The former Baywatch actress was in Sweden to appear on chat show Skavlan and was staying in Stockholm where she had just left her accommodation on Thursday.

Soon after, the fire alarm rang out through the building and a naked, confused-looking man was found nearby as firemen fought to contain the blaze.

A police spokesman told The Sun: “He has been arrested on suspicion of attempted arson. I do not know the extent of the fire. It was not very big but it was still a proliferation risk.”

Phew! Good thing you were out, Pammy!
