Did Paul Hollywood just hit back at ex-wife Alex’s ‘easy Summer tart’ jibe?

When it comes to throwing shade in the age of social media, quite literally nobody is safe. And if you thought cryptic Instagram jibes were confined to sneaky reality stars and the entire cast of TOWIE, you were very much mistaken.

Yesterday, Paul Hollywood's ex-wife Alex seemingly threw a dessert-themed helping of shade the way of his new 22-year-old girlfriend Summer Monteys Fullam.

She posted a recipe for a summer tart on her Instagram, and used the cryptic hashtags #tart and #easy. Hmm.

Alex wrote: “Summer Berry Tart.. made with strained Greek yoghurt, flavoured with lemon zest & honey and a baked biscuit crumb base.. #berries #tart#pudding #easy #recipe”.

And now it seems Paul may have hit back at Alex, as he's posted a recipe for Sourdough bread on his Facebook page.

He wrote: "Sourdough bread has really increased in popularity over the last few years. Making your own starter is a really fun thing to do. It is important to have an organic apple, free of chemicals, for this, or the starter may not ferment.

"I like to use a Cox, but any organic apple will do."

It obviously could be a coincidence, but we like to think we've got a big baking themed feud on our hands (love a bit of drama).

Paul, 52, got together with Summer Monteys-Fullam, who is 30 years his junior, last year. It was reported that Paul met Summer while organising a birthday party for his wife Alex at the pub she worked in, although Summer has insisted she got together with Paul after the couple split.
