Perrie Edwards and Freddie from Skins AKA FITLORD Luke Pasqualino were hands down one of our fave couples of 2016 (up there with Cheryl and Liam Payne), and surely one of the best looking couples OF ALL TIME.
So our poor little hearts well and truly broke when we heard it was over (we had SO MUCH HOPE after hearing they'd been snogging all over Leigh-Anne Pinnock's birthday party).
It was reported that the split was due to Perrie being busy with work, but heat's insider has revealed there may be waaaaay more to the story.
Everyone with ears and access to a radio station will likely have heard the Little Mix song Shoutout To My Ex by now (the one where Pezza seemed to diss Zayn's bedroom skills lololol), and it may be the continued discussion of Zayn that caused her and Luke's split.
Our source said: "Everyone’s worried that Perrie may never get over the heartbreak that Zayn caused her.
"Perrie's very honest, so if someone asks her about it, she’ll tell them how Zayn broke her heart, how he was her first love … to be honest, it could all get a bit much for Luke, especially in the past few weeks, when every single day there was a new story in the papers about Perrie and Zayn."
Pezza and Luke were first linked after pics surfaced of them seemingly having a wonderful time in Mahiki, and Perrie later said (when asked by The Mirror how the relationship was going): "We’ve been on a few fun dates, which is nice. It’s very early days. It’s early days but yeah, he’s really lovely."
But Luke last week marked the split by unfollowing her on Instagram, which is basically 2016 for screaming "IT'S OVER" and throwing their stuff in a river.
