Just when you thought he couldn't get any better, Pete Wicks has gone and done it.

The TOWIE star proved he's not just a pretty face by saving 170 pups from being killed on a Korean meat farm, after flying out to South Korea with Humane Society International to rescue them.

Megan McKenna's ex headed to one of a reported 170,000 meat farms in Namyangju and rescued as many as he could, while also bringing 13 pups back to the UK.

Speaking to The Sun, Pete talked about his experience, saying, "Seeing for myself the horror of a dog meat farm has been one of the most emotional experiences of my life.

"I love my dog Eric with all my heart, and I kept thinking how dreadful it would be for him to spend even one day in a place like that."

The reality TV personality and Humane Society International are working together to put a stop to the trade that breeds 2.5million dogs for human consumption every year.

Pete showed how much he cared about animal rights, adding, "Some of the dogs I met were terrified, and you can’t blame them because they’ve seen the cruel side of humanity. But I couldn’t believe how friendly most of them were despite everything they’ve been through.

"The way they wagged their tails just broke my heart. Despite going through hell, they still wanted to be our friends. That was so humbling."
