Is it just us who has this latest series of The Only Way Is Essex been the aggiest yet? From newbie Amber Turner's arrival and subsequent split with long-term boyfriend Jamie Reed amidst Dan Edgar cheating claims, to Gemma Collins' baby bombshell, there's been a monumental amount of dramz.
We also saw Megan McKenna and Pete Wicks' tumultuous relationship come to end, and despite being 'civil' now, who could forget that explosive row in the street? Yikes.
Following the season finale earlier this week, Pete has spoken out about taking a break from the show.
According to The Sun, while speaking at the launch of Megan's restaurant MCK Grill, he revealed: "The show has been tough.
"It has definitely been a hard series and I need this break; I need to concentrate on myself."
It was recently reported that Pete was thinking of quitting the show for good, but he reassured fans that he would be back for the next series, adding: "It has felt like a long time since we started filming this year; Towie can be mentally draining sometimes.
"Hopefully by the next series I will be fully loaded."
Pete was also quick to dismiss Chloe Sims' claims that he was back together with Megan, explaining: "People don’t understand that we’re able to be civil.
"Not every ex can be as we are and it’s weird to other people but I don’t give a shit."
Chloe previously stated in her Star magazine column that Pete and Megan are 'back together and only broke up for the show'.
She wrote: "I reckon they’re back together because of the way he’s behaved lately.
"I think she’s doing it for the show, though. Some people are really hungry and just want the airtime!"
