Peter Andre, a man we sometimes wish was our actual boyfriend, has made a shocking revelation.

The Strictly Come Dancing star says that his dad was sold as a slave.

Peter claims that his Cypriot dad, Savvas, was sold during World War II to make money for the family.

"It's very interesting with my dad because at 11 years old in Cyprus, he was sold as a slave," Peter said.

"There were 13 kids. And they had no food, no money. So some of the kids had to be sold to earn money for the family. And then Dad came back after years. I didn't know this until recently.

“And I said, 'Dad, are you serious?' And he said, 'Yeah, but son, that was our life,’” Peter told the Radio Times.

Peter, who we are falling a little bit more in love with every day, was born in Britain but went to live in Australia with his family when he was six years old.
