If you missed the important Pierce Brosnan knife-carrying news over the last few weeks, well, that’s a thing that unexpectedly happened. And now there’s an update.

The actor was caught carrying an alleged 10-inch knife in his bag when at Burlington International Airport in Vermont – and was stopped from boarding the flight.

Eyewitnesses said that James Bond, sorry, we mean Pierce, was “furious” about the incident at the time. The knife allegedly extended from five inches when folded to 10 when unfolded.

More news!

That is basically a mini sword.

Anyway, Pierce said that the knife WASN’T for hunting – as was previously thought – and is because he’s an artist.

“It wasn’t ten inches long,” Pierce told Extra. “I'm a painter - I'm an artist, so I had my pencils.

“The knife just went into the bag - you want to keep your pencils sharpened.”

We’re sure you do, but haven’t you heard of a pencil sharpener, mate? Might be easier to board a flight with one of those, just an idea.

We’ll take you down to WH Smith if you need us to, Pierce.
