Piers Morgan took to Twitter this morning to lay into Queen of selfies, Kim Kardashian as she posted a sexy topless pic after arriving in Paris for Fashion Week.
The Good Morning Britain presenter slammed Kim K when he retweeted the picture she had shared on Instagram and Twitter, swapping the caption "Paris Vibes" for a derogatory slur: "Slapper Vibes". Totally uncalled for, mate.
OK, we admit the picture is a little risqué. Kimmy is topless and revealing some rather sassy fishnet lingerie beneath unbuttoned denim jeans. BUT WHAT’S THAT GOT TO DO WITH PIERS MORGAN?
Twitter did seem to have the Kardashian’s back though, as fans were quick to challenge Piers’ comments. One follower asked "Why does @piersmorgan hate @KimKardashian like he literally cyber bullies her."
As our mothers always said when dealing with bullies, he's probably just jealous. Kim Kardashian boasts a Twitter following of 48.2 million, has 83.7 Instagram followers and has a much better bod than Piers Morgan. Just sayin'…
Piers defended his comments, claiming that he does actually like the star but just worries about the effects of Kim’s selfies on the female population.
He responded: “I think it sends the completely wrong msg to millions of young girls who follow her that only path to feminist success is flashing breasts.” Nice, try Piers, but you’re not getting away with it that easily.
One Twitter user highlighted the fact that Mr Morgan’s choice of words was pretty offensive and probably not a good example to millions of young boys…
The picture was shared just moments after Kim was ambushed by infamous prankster,Vitalli Sediuk as she was leaving the Balmain offices in Paris.
It appears as though Vitalli – who had carried out a similar prank on Kim at Paris fashion week two years ago – slipped past security and tried to tackle Kim from behind, before eventually being ambushed to the ground.
Perhaps this selfie was a show of defiance after a lucky escape. We know Kim K is all about empowerment.
