With the General Election 2015 campaign launched yesterday, the only thing we can guarantee about the outcome of the 7 May vote is that all the political parties involved will be super-tired of sniping at each other.

Which is why, when heat’s own Lucie Cave sat down with the current Prime Minister, David Cameron, it was refreshing to find he actually had a few nice things to say about his nearest political rivals.

Speaking about his coalition government partner Nick Clegg, Cameron said he “admires” him for joining the Lib Dems with the Tories.

“It was the right thing to do, to come together [and] serve the country. I think we’ve done a reasonable job,” he added.

As for his Labour opposition Ed Miliband, Dave said: “Ed Milliband? I think he did the right thing backing the action we’re taking in Iraq, that wasn’t easy for him and I think it’s good that we’re helping Arab countries, Americans and others to defeat Isis [Islamic State].”

He didn’t mention Nigel Farage though…
