Prince has always had a bit of a dodgy relationship with the internet (we vividly remember the time when he refused to sell his album on itunes circa 2010 because the internet was “completely over”), but now it seems, 5 years on, that he can’t get enough of it – because it appears that we are now being graced with a very special insta-presence…
Yep, that’s right. Almost a year after deleting all of his social media accounts, Prince has randomly decided to give Instagram a go. But he isn’t just testing the water with a couple of selfies. Oh no. He’s named his official (and verified, obvs) page ‘PRINCESTAGRAM’ and filled it with photos from his four decade-long career, clips of his music AND self-made memes of himself.
And with a startling 88 posts on the account since its launch 4 days ago, we’d say that Prince is taking his new hobby rather seriously. The page already has a whopping 69.1k followers, a number which is growing by the minute – and it’s no surprise, because some of the content is actually quite funny. Quite frankly, we’re impressed, Prince!
