LOOK AT THIS EXTREME CUTENESS! It’s only Prince George and his dad Prince William on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at the Trooping the Colour parade in London today.
Little George was the centre of attention as the Royal family posed outside for the crowds who turned out for the event, also known as The Queen’s Birthday Parade.
He was wearing a smart blue jumper with white frills along the trim and matching shoes, and the Duke of Cambridge wore his Irish Guards red tunic.
But we couldn’t help but notice how much George looked like his father when he was younger – William wore an almost identical outfit as he was held by his dad Prince Charles at the same event in 1984.
George and William looked happy as they waved to excited fans down below before looking up to watch the aircraft as they flew over to conclude the ceremony.
Before venturing out on the balcony George showed his cheeky side as he looked out of the window and poked his tongue out while he was held by his nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.
Viewers were quick to react on Twitter, with one person writing: “Prince George is certainly a scene stealer. Such a cute little boy.”
And another person tweeted: “Totally wonderful moments of history on the balcony as Prince George is so like his father. Great memories.”
Today’s Trooping the Colour was mum Kate Middleton’s first official engagement after the birth of her first daughter, Princess Charlotte, at the beginning of last month.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked as elegant as ever in a blue and white floral pattern coat by Catherine Walker and a white hat by Lock & Co.
Kate gave birth to her first daughter Charlotte, a little sister for George, last month at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London.
The official statement from Kensington Palace at the time read: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am.
“The baby weights 8lbs 3oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.”
