It’s always pretty hard to see an ex move on, but we imagine it’s about 2134315313 times harder when that ex is a prince and they’re marrying a stunning actress in front of hundreds of millions of people around the world.
And that’s exactly what Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriends Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy had to endure last weekend, as he wed Meghan Markle in a beautiful and poignant ceremony at St. Georges’ Chapel, Windsor.
Despite a few memes doing the rounds after Chelsy was caught out with a less-than-impressed expression on her face as the couple said their vows, both women appeared in high spirits on the Harry and Meghan’s big day.
However, it’s now been reported that Harry and Chelsy – who dated on-and-off from 2004 to 2011 – shared an ‘emotional phone call’ in the days before the royal wedding.
“It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on,” an insider revealed, according to Vanity Fair.
“Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding.”

The source explained neither Chelsy nor Cressida had been invited to the more intimate evening party at Frogmore House, and added: “In the end, she went and promised Harry she wouldn’t try and gatecrash the party."
However, it’s also been reported that Chelsy did manage to wangle an invite to the reception and was even greeted by Meghan – who allegedly broke royal protocol by giving Chelsy a hug.
Welcoming the ex with open arms, Meghan’s just so annoyingly perfect, isn’t she?
