Ed Sheeran dropped his much-anticipated album ÷ this morning and we've had it on repeat all daaaaaay long.

It's a corker. We're particular fans of Supermarket Flowers, a beautiful song about the death of his beloved grandmother.

Speaking to Zane Lowe, Ed revealed that he didn't really want to include the song on the album but his grandfather thought it would be the perfect tribute.

"That’s the most special song on the record for me," he said in the track-by-track interview.

"My grandmother was very ill during the time I was making the record and passed away at the end of me making the record so we wrote this song as a tribute and just left it on."

We're all emotional wrecks, let's be real.

And as part of his album promotional tour, Ed has been talking about all sorts in various different interviews.

From talking about writing songs with Harry Styles, to his relationship with his childhood girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.

Ed has definitely revealed some secrets.

And just in case you needed more proof that Ed is #boyfriendgoals, he's only gone and said that he and Cherry have never really had an argument.

Whaaaaaat.

Lifting the lid on their very private relationship, Ed told The Sun's Dan Wootton: "She worked on Wall Street in America then she got her job transferred to London in the same office in the same job. We have spent every day together. Weirdly enough, when I went to Japan two sees ago that was the first time I have been apart from her.

"I haven’t been in the bad books, to be honest!"

WOW.

And when quizzed about playing the dutiful boyf - we were blown away when snaps of a barefoot Ed holding Cherry's very painful louboutins emerged after the Warner Music BRITs party - Ed insisted that it was just standard boyfriend behaviour.

"She wasn’t wearing socks and I kind of knew there wasn’t broken glass on the floor but I wanted to make sure on the walk down it as all right," he said.

Thanks to Ed, our boyfriend expectations are EVEN HIGHER.

What a MEGA babe.
