We know we're not supposed to have X Factor favorites yet, because we should give all of them a chance, but we're already a little bit obsessed with Rai-Elle Williams. And with good reason - the girl has an absolutely incredible voice. But who is she? Where's she from? And what's with the internet backlash?

What’s Rai-Elle’s age?

Having wowed the judges right from the start, already competed in singing competitions before, and having previously worked as a child model, actor and dancer, you’d be forgiven for thinking Rai-Elle was older than she is. In fact, she’s just 16. And already Simon Cowell has said “If Sharon doesn’t give you a chair, you can take mine.” Whattagirl.

What is the controversy surrounding Rai-Elle?

As she’s already competed in competitions, and has her own professional agency profile online, some people believe that it's unfair she’s competing, considering she’s already on track for stardom and has an advantage over everyone else, what with an agent and a lot of singing classes under her belt. We reckon it's fine - it’s not like she’s had loads of number one hits, and this competition is really giving her the boost she needs. Also THAT VOICE.

Where is Rai-Elle from?

She grew up in Croydon, goes to Coulsdon College, and names fellow South Londoner Stormzy as one of her biggest inspirations.

Was Rai-Elle on Got What It Takes?

Yep, that’s where you recognize her from! If you watched the talent competition on CBBC, you may find Rai-Elle has a familiar face - that’s because, at just 14 years old, she competed and got through to the final, singing Adele’s ‘A Million Years Ago’.

What did Liam Payne say about Rai-Elle?

After performing on the show, the ex One Direction singer was asked who he thought would make it all the way. He replied: “Rai-Elle did a great job of opening the show by the way”.
