Congratulations and big hugs going out to Olympic swimming champ Rebecca Adlington. She’s given birth to her first baby, a girl, and tweeted that she’s “so in love”.

Her husband, personal trainer Harry Needs tweeted that he’s “the happiest man on this earth” and that’s he’s “fallen in love all over again”, which is absolutely lovely, isn’t it?

Rebecca tweeted:

The pair have been married since August last year, and Rebecca’s said that she reckons their daughter was conceived on their honeymoon to Venice – which is romantic (but will probably be slightly yucky for mini Needs/Adlington to read in years to come).

That's a hell of a baby bump

The pair haven’t tweeted or Instagrammed a photo of their new arrival just yet, but we’re sure it won’t be long at all.

Becca previously told the Sunday Mirror that she was finding pregnancy and weight gain hard.

“I'm over it. I don't want her to arrive yet because it's not time, but it's dragged a lot. I want to get back in shape and feel like myself again,” she told the paper.

Don’t worry, Becca – you can get back in that pool now and start swimming REALLY FAST. And even better, you can take your new little baby girl swimming with you and put armbands on her. And that will be beyond cute.
