Back in the day when One Direction were still X Factor minis, moody and mysterious Zayn Malik briefly dated fellow contestant Rebecca Ferguson. The romance didn’t last, but neither has ever spoken badly about the other.
But it seems that they won’t be reuniting again, especially not as solo artists.
Speaking about his departure from One Direction and budding solo career, the mum-of-three ruled out a studio date.
She said: "Now he's solo I don't think I'll ever do a duet with him.”
Rebecca added quickly: “I don't think Perrie would like that one."
Like many people, Rebecca was not shocked by Zayn quitting the band.
"I don't know if I'm surprised at Zayn leaving,” she explained to the Daily Star. “I kind of thought at some point it was going to happen."
Perhaps Rebecca can join forces with the rest of One Direction instead…???
