Clearly having not learnt anything from the 2022 Wagatha trial – despite the mammoth £1.8million bill that she’s being forced to pay – Rebekah Vardy is reportedly delighted that her WAG rival Coleen Rooney could be set to enter the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle. And it’s not just the prospect of Coleen being buried with rats that’s getting Becky excited, it’s because she’ll be able to speak her truth without getting any pushback.
A source tells us, ‘With Coleen heading to the jungle where she’ll inevitably reference the trial, Becky has said it’s game on and isn’t going to hold back from mouthing off about the whole saga again. She is threatening to hit out again if Coleen starts slagging her off – she feels like she’s got nothing left to lose.’
And, according to our source, Becky, 42, reckons she could humiliate her rival, who she believes is far from the victim in their feud. ‘She loves that Coleen won’t know what’s been said until she’s come out of the jungle,’ we’re told. ‘Becky has told pals she believes Coleen is going to use this opportunity to once again show herself as the innocent victim, but Becky feels as though she’s got some receipts up her sleeve that the public don’t know about yet.’
Seven years after Becky participated in the show – and was the third star voted out - mum-of-four Coleen, 38, is rumoured to be following in her nemesis’ walking boots with a stint on the hit ITV reality show. And Becky – who shares kids Sofia, ten, Olivia, four, and Finley, seven, with husband Jamie Vardy, and is also mum to Megan, 19, Taylor, 14, as well as stepmum to Jamie’s daughter Ella, 13 – will be watching her every step of the way, and not just so that she can vote for her nemesis to do as many disgusting Bushtucker trials as possible. Our source says, ‘Becky’s going to be watching Coleen very closely and will be on high alert to fact-check anything Coleen says about her. She’s already been making it known to people and her team that she’ll be willing to speak out if asked or if Coleen brings anything up about her.
‘Becky has said she’s not a punching bag and she’s not just going to remain silent. It looks to her like it’s Coleen who can’t let things go – she’s normally quite shy and doesn’t like media attention, but is now suddenly putting herself in one of the biggest reality TV shows in the country. Becky has said she’s not going to keep quiet. She wants to stick up for herself.’
However, Becky’s husband of eight years, Jamie, 37, is keen for his wife to put the whole issue behind them and move on with her life. The Leicester City player has reportedly been warning her that it wouldn’t be a good idea to get dragged back into court. ‘Jamie has begged her to keep a lid on it and move on,’ we’re told. ‘He doesn’t want Becky getting herself into trouble again and thinks she should tread carefully. While Coleen won’t be listening to her from the jungle, her lawyers will be.
‘He’s tired of the drama and wants nothing more to do with it all. He's helping pay her legal bills and he doesn't want her to put them at risk of spending any more money. He's been seriously considering a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia recently in a bid to boost their finances, so he's urging Becky to be careful with her words and not land them in any more trouble.
‘Becky’s assuring him that it’s not going to end up in a legal fight again – she just wants to share her side of the story. Jamie understands, but he thinks the whole thing is one big headache and wishes everyone could move on with their lives.’
