Nope, we're not joking.

Rebel Wilson has opened up to Ellen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week about how she received "death threats" from many One Direction fans after simply... HUGGING... Harry Styles on TV.

The hilarious Australian movie star told of how bad the repercussions were for her after appearing on the show last year - when she simply bear hugged Harry.

She said "Basically, I got accused of sexually assaulting Harry Styles. These little girls, I think they're about 12, were very, very unhappy with that. Basically we're just like two professional entertainers having a good time. And he really enjoyed it. I told them that on Twitter and they just sent me more death threats".

And following her appearance on the show? Rebel even posted a picture of the pair back in November - which definitely must've rubbed some more salt into the wounds of Harry's huge following of directioners.
