We love NOTHING MORE than when we get to be nostalgic about our favourite teen movies.
ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO CLUELESS. Because Clueless is THE teen movie of all teen movies, right?
And now we’ve found out some behind-the-scenes secrets from the film, which could have made the whole thing so, so different.

Clueless writer and director Amy Heckerling spoke to Vanity Fair for a special feature on the film’s for its 20th anniversary – and revealed who else she wanted to play iconic Cher Horowitz – besides Alicia Silverstone, who finally got the job.
Gwyneth Paltrow was in the running for the role, but didn’t get the part because she was “off on other things”.
Amy also considered Reese Witherspoon.
“I met with Reese because everyone said, 'This girl’s amazing. She’s going to be huge,’” she told the magazine.
We can SO see Reese as Cher. Yep, that works (and we’re now lining up Legally Blonde to watch after Clueless tonight).
But it wasn’t to be – because Reese ended up getting the role of Annette Hargrove in Cruel Intentions.
Casting director Carrie Frazier also told the magazine that she wanted Angelina Jolie – although she was deemed too “knowing” to play ditzy Cher (you can say that again. Imagine a gothic Cher with Jolie lips. All wrong).
“Angelina never came in (to audition) for the project,” she said.
“I was just looking at her tape. I remember an agent pitching her, and I’m going, “No, no, no, this is exactly the opposite of what I need for this.’”
Phew, because that would just be weird.
