Rihanna has today won a court ruling in London, banning high street giant Topshop from selling clothing with her image on.

The shop had been selling sleeveless t-shirts with Rihanna’s face on in 2013.

She won a legal battle against the store to remove them, but parent company Arcadia appealed this. The appeal was upheld today.

The court ruled that that the t-shirts would confuse customers, as the t-shirts were not official Rihanna merchandise.

The photograph used on the tops was an unauthorised shot from when Rihanna filmed the _We Found Love v_ideo in Northern Ireland (and got in trouble for cavorting around a field with no top on, if you remember rightly. How could we forget?).

As Rihanna has lucrative deals with retailers such as River Island, it was decided that the unauthorised use of her image in this case would interfere with her reputation in the fashion world.

So that’s Topshop told, then.

One thing’s for certain – if you want a Rihanna t-shirt then you won’t be able to buy one from Topshop, OK, guys?
