Rihanna is pretty much a goddess in our eyes: from music to fashion to her more recent dabble in acting it seems like there's nothing Riri can't do.

Which means we're SUPER excited that Rihanna made a pretty amazing announcement at this year's Comic-Con - she's gone and landed herself a part in the brilliant TV series Bates Motel, the television prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's classic 1960 horror film Psycho.

And not only that - Rihanna is in fact taking on the iconic role of Marion Crane aka the scremaing girl in the shower.

Rihanna is following in the footsteps of the late Hollywood actress Janet Leigh who earned a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress for her portrayal.

The show's executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin said in a statement released after the Comic-Con announcement:"We wanted to thrust the iconic role into a contemporary spotlight and redefine it in a meaningful and exciting new way. We also heard Rihanna was a fan of the show, and we were huge fans of hers, so it was the perfect collision of creativity and fate."

Ugh we are SO EXCITED for this! Do you think Ri will nail it?
