We absolute love Rio Ferdinand and Kate Wright and think they’re the very definition of relationships goals – especially since becoming Instagram official with some seriously adorbs snaps.
But their latest Insta offering has caused a bit of confusion amongst their followers.
Yesterday, Rio shared a video of their couple’s workout (‘cause couples that gym together, stay together, right?) along with a caption reading, “5am workout this morning... @meldeane12 getting us through it!!!!”
Firstly, a 5:00am workout is downright offensive by all accounts. But then fans were quick to point out it looked suspiciously light outside to be that ungodly hour in the morning.
As you’re probably well aware, we are in the throes of the bleak mid-winter and sunrise in the UK is currently at around 8:00am – which means Rio’s got some great outside lighting, or he’s telling porkies about his early morning workouts.
One fan wrote: “Admire your work ethic however it ain't no 5am c'mon Rio”
Another added: “Looks awfully light for 5am.”
Some followers came to Rio’s defense, suggesting he had actually meant to say 8:00am.
“Maybe he meant 8am it sits underneath 5 in some keyboards,” they suggested.
Another fan claimed they were on holiday: “Guys there clearly on holiday @xkatiewright going by @rioferdy5 instagram pics since new year. So clearly daylight at 5am somewhere lol. Before u all jump on the band wagon. X”
TBH, we’re just jealous of their January motivation as we’re currently still consuming about 4234258252 calories per day and haven’t worked out since 1st December.
