Rita Ora’s ex Calvin Harris has broken up his usual Twitter feed of pictures of planes he is about to get on and boring gig announcements to lash out at the inexplicably popular Joker-faced popstress.
Calvin unexpectedly took to Twitter to address rumours that Rita’s planned performance of her Harris-penned tune* I Will Never Let You Down* was blocked by the Scottish DJ before she had a chance to sing it at this weekend’s Teen Choice Awards.
“I was supposed to perform,” Ora told radio DJ and heat’s own Ryan Seacrest yesterday. “[But Calvin] wrote and produced the song [and] he owns the rights to it. He has to approve anything TV-wise, and he didn’t approve the Teen Choice Awards.”
But Calvin tweeted otherwise, saying today: “You’ll only know 1 side of the story RE Teen choice awards. Because I choose not to talk to the papers about every aspect of my personal life.” If that isn’t worth an ‘AYOOOOOOO’ then nothing is. AYOOOOOOO.
“But just know I had a damn good reason,” he added. Then he did the ‘wave goodbye’ emoji that we can’t do on our CMS.
Calvin Harris is not the first celebrity man to have full sex with Rita Ora and then go mental about it on Twitter soon afterwards: sock magnate and human-sized doorstop Rob Kardashian — who sort-of-secretly dated Rita for about nine months last year — went well off on one when they broke up last year, claiming, “She cheated on me with nearly 20 dudes while we were together,” and getting #RitaWhora trending on twitter dot com.
Rita Ora is currently dating Tommy Hilfiger’s son Ricky Hil, so expect a Twitter rant about how she always leaves the milk out of the fridge but puts the ketchup* in* it like some kind of * maniac* from him in circa two months.
As well as winding Calvin up on heat Radio, Rita also sang an acoustic version of her single* I Will Never Let You Down.*
