For Rita Ora, silence really is golden. An investigation by the Mirror has found that the RIP singer makes more cash when she doesn’t have a single or an album out. Good news for fans who don’t like her music then.

According to the newspaper, accounts from Ora Multi Services Ltd show Rita made £1.2 million of profit, in the 12 months after March 2013, despite her having no music out.

They also claim Rita makes a mint from endorsements. Deals with Adidas, DKNY and Rimmel even helped her pay off a £338,661 loan in just nine months.

“Some of the profits are from Rita’s touring commitments,” a spokesperson for Rita said.

Speaking to the Mirror, Rita explained: “I don’t know if ad campaigns are people’s priorities, but I think there are different types of artists nowadays.

“I would say there are Sam Smith and Adele and these amazing musicians that just stick to their music and it works for them.”
