Robbie Williams confused the Serbian audience for Croatian on stage in Belgrade
No biggie, they’re just two totally separate countries…
You know that time your mate asked what the capital of Barcelona is? And the other time your mum confessed she’s not sure what continent Asia is in?
Robbie Williams is one of THOSE people now.
He was on stage at a sold-out gig in Belgrade in Serbia (you know, sold out, loads of eager fans, all waiting in their Robbie t-shirts).
And then he made the ultimate booboo of saying: “Good evening Zagreb”.
Oh, Robbie. heatworld shakes its virtual head.
Croatia and Serbia used to be part of Yugoslavia before the Yugolsav wars, so that’s not awkward AT ALL.
This writer can further confirm it’s gutting/irritating beyond belief when an artist gets your location wrong. At the Big Chill in Hereford circa 2011 Kanye West opened his set with the words: “What’s up, London?”
Just no.
Robbie, we’re enrolling you on a refresher geography course because you were clearly not listening first time round (and/or making a den at the back of class with coats weighted down with books. That’s normal, right?).
Always so appropriate
