Remember those ridiculous maths questions you used to get on GCSE papers? The ones like, if you have 18 birds flying alongside a car travelling at 68 miles per hour on a British motorway, what is the standard deviation of the train arriving at Euston platform 3 200 miles away? And what’s the name of the driver? Remember those? Yeah, well it looks like Take That are reeeeally hoping to become a confusing GCSE maths question some time circa 2017.
Because according to the Sun, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams could rejoin the band when they celebrate their 25th anniversary in two years’ time.
Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen, who were guest-editing the newspaper yesterday, all said they could see Take That becoming a five-piece once again if Robbie and Jason are up for it.
“Rob will be back soon. We have a good time with Rob. He adores being in the studio and he loves the process of writing with us,” said Gary.
“We can’t wait to start the next record now. We have that excitement in us. There’s no way this [III, the album that is out today] is the last album. I feel this is what I’ve been put here to do.”
And with Robbie releasing HIS new album, Under The Radar Volume 1, today, Mark reckons his former band-mate might have come back to London to tell Take That he wants back in.
“I’m hoping he might come back tomorrow. Now he’s back in London he might be here to tell us he’s re-joining,” he added.
But will the three remaining members definitely still stick with the band? According to Gary, probably not.
“Take That is five people. Exactly when they come back is up to them. That will keep it interesting,” he said.
“Moving forward, I do think our fans need to get used to the fact that it’s going to change — maybe every album. I might be missing on the next one and Rob might come in instead of me. Actually, he’d better not do!”

Robbie made another joke about his wife's, er, lady-parts - when she gave birth to daughter Teddy two years ago, he said standing at the business end was "like watching your favourite pub burn down". We'll let you think about what the off licence bit means...
