Robbie Williams is lucky not to be punched by wife Ayda Field as he sings in her face WHILE SHE’S IN LABOUR

List of things you probably don’t want in your birthing room as you push eight pounds of human being out of your lady-parts: errant animals, a full-blown film crew, a popstar who’s desperate to play you some of his hit tracks as your contractions go into overdrive.

Step forward Robbie Williams, whose wife Ayda Field could quite literally at this moment in time be giving birth to his child. And is he playing the supportive partner role? Um. Well you take a look at this video and tell us.

Uh-huh. He also shared a snap of his wife lying on her hospital bed wearing a very snazzy pair of red and gold diamanté Louboutins, captioning it: “When Ayda goes into labour she comes correct ;).”

Yeah, all the better to kick you, Robbie.

If that wasn’t enough, he shared a further SIX videos of Ayda in labour on his Twitter page, including one in which the doctor says he’s about to manually break Ayda’s waters and Robbie asks if all the goo will go on his fancy dressing gown. Can’t you send him out, Ayda? Can’t you just get him to go and fetch you some toast, like normal men do while their partners are panting through the pain?

Anyway, at least it shows he’s excited about meeting his second child, who it was revealed earlier this year will be a baby boy and a little brother for Robbie and Ayda’s two-year-old daughter Theodora ‘Teddy’ Rose.
