Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Field has finally given birth to a baby boy, after more than 24 hours in labour - all of which were live-blogged by the former Take That star.

The partner of Robbie had to endure the star live tweeting and posting videos of him singing while she was giving birth to their as-yet unnamed baby boy, who arrived yesterday afternoon weighing in at 8lbs 1.

He said: “I’ve never been more in love, and I've never been more proud of my wife. She's been absolutely astonishing.

“The universe has presented itself to us again and it's been a very emotional, amazing few hours and we're really happy and honoured that you experienced the journey with us.”

The 40-year-old Angels and Candy singer married his lovely wife back in 2010. They already have another child - two-year-old Theodora 'Teddy' Rose - to add to the family pack.

Robbie has already racked up quite a lot of attention around the birth as he posted videos of himself singing Frozen, as well as snaps of Ayda wearing glitzy Louboutin heels.

He has since posted a video of the pair saying “No moms were harmed in the making of this video”, assuring fans that Ayda actually enjoyed his antics.

Here's how Robbie and Ayda announced the birth of their baby boy - ALL the videos, tweets and pictures of Ayda's live birth!

Robbie made another joke about his wife's, er, lady-parts - when she gave birth to daughter Teddy two years ago, he said standing at the business end was "like watching your favourite pub burn down". We'll let you think about what the off licence bit means...
