It’s barely been two days since Robin Williams died in his California home, but already Twitter trolls have targeted his daughter Zelda and forced her off the social network with their abuse.

The 25-year-old actress tweeted this morning that she was deleting Twitter off all her devices after two sick trolls sent her a picture purporting to be of her dead father.

She also sent another tweet urging her followers to report the two accounts trolling her before deleting it.

Yesterday, the eloquent actress wrote on her blog: “To those he touched who are sending kind words, know that one of his favourite things in the world was to make you all laugh.

“As for those who are sending negativity, know that some small, giggling part of him is sending a flock of pigeons to your house to poop on your car.

Right after you’ve had it washed. After all, he loved to laugh too,” she added. Her words join those of Robin’s other children, who also released statements today, and those of his wife Susan Schneider, who told reporters she was “utterly heartbroken”.
