Prince William has gone on leave from his job as a trainee rescue helicopter pilot ahead of the birth of his second child.
His wife Kate Middleton is due with the second royal baby of their little family later this month – and could go into labour imminently.
Sky reporter Kay Burley tweeted this morning to confirm that Wills has started paternity leave from the Norfolk-based Bond Air Services, which runs East Anglian Air Ambulance service.
He only started the job at the end of March and is now training to fly rescue missions with the ambulance service, which he should be able to begin this summer.
At the time, a spokesperson said William would be entitled to paternity leave like all other male employees, although they wouldn’t say how long he’d be off for.
Kay also tweeted a snap of her ‘Kate Wait’ bag, which should come in handy for those lengthy stays outside the Lindo Wing in London, where Kate will be driven as soon as she starts labour.
