Ruby Rose has come to the defence of her friend Taylor Swift, who has been heavily criticised for hooking up with Tom Hiddleston – two weeks after her relationship with Calvin Harris ended.

Will the drama ever end?!

We all know that Taylor didn’t mourn the end of her relationship for too long and was snapped happily kissing her new British beau on the beach, just days after WE were finding out that Talvin were no more.

Sobs

Now Ruby has given her two cents and written a lengthy Instagram post on celebrity relationships.

She wrote: "I get it that [people] invest in couples and root for them, and it's sweet, but that relationship is still only between two people. If the relationship ends, why do people assume something happened or someone is to blame?"

Fair point.

"Why do they think they know anything about the relationship, [that they are] ... able to make a better call than those in it? If a woman moves on from a relationship eight months (or two weeks) after a breakup, isn't that beautiful?"

The Australian actress also criticised those that "shame women for opening their hearts".

She added: "I personally respect all of the people who never get jaded, who always love with their whole hearts. Over and over and I think it's twisted that we shame women for opening their hearts or label it as a weakness when in reality it's one of the scariest things to do".

Although fans assumed she was directly referring to Taylor in the post, Ruby has insisted she was talking in a more universal way.

She later tweeted: "My statement on love... It's not about one person in particular it is about many, including myself.."
