Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall are officially man and wife!
84-year-old Murdoch and Hall, 59, married in a civil ceremony at Spencer House in London yesterday but are holding a second celebration on Fleet Street today. Despite being quite sure heat would be invited to such a celebration, we are not involved in the proceedings…our invite must have got lost in the post.
This is Mr Murdoch’s fourth marriage and the first for Hall - whose 1992 wedding to Sir Mick Jagger was later deemed legally void.
Rupert tweeted yesterday that he was "the luckiest and happiest man in world" and announced that he was taking a break from Twitter to enjoy his time as a newly-wed.
The unlikely couple announced their engagement in January in The Times’ births, marriages and deaths section.
A spokesman said at the time that they were "thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future".
