As their bitter divorce battle rumbles on, Ruth Langsford is taking legal steps to make sure that her estranged ex-husband Eamonn Holmes won’t get a share of their £3.6million home. Public documents show that the Loose Women star, 65, has been granted a severance of joint tenancy of the six-bedroom house in Surrey, which they bought as their marital home in 2014.

This means that in the event of Ruth’s death, her share of the house wouldn’t automatically go to her ex, to whom she was married to for 14 years before their split last May. Sarah Dwight from the Law Society explained, ‘This move protects Ruth in that if she were to die, she can leave her wealth to whoever she wants, rather than Eamonn getting everything.’

Her latest move came as Eamonn, 65, told pals that his relationship with Ruth is ‘very, very tricky’. Meanwhile, Ruth appears to be shrugging off her divorce troubles by letting her hair down. She was recently seen without her wedding ring at the Britain’s Got Talent semi-final with their son Jack, 23, and her friend Lucy Alexander, where she declared she was ‘loving life’ as she danced to Steps’ performance before posing for photos with judges Amanda Holden and KSI.

While Ruth appears to be enjoying single life after nearly three decades with Eamonn, the TV presenter – who has been suffering from health issues – has moved on with relationship counsellor Katie Alexander. Katie, 43, recently shared their first photos together on social media.

‘Lovely weather… lovely company,’ she posted on Instagram, set to The Levellers’ song What A Beautiful Day, alongside a pic of the couple in the countryside.
