Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' daughter Esmeralda is already one years old - where has the time gone, eh?
The Hollywood couple celebrated their little one's first birthday in a very low-key manner - they didn't hire out the entirety of Disneyland or anything.
In fact it was a homemade birthday cake, some gifts and lots of family kind of affair. Like us normal folk do. Ryan and Eva, 41, even got their family to help with the small do.

According to *US Weekly *there were about 20 guests and most of those were part of the Mendes clan.
"It was a quiet and casual party, not the typical celebrity 1st birthday blowout with vendors and other celebrity guests," the onlooker says.
"It looked like it was just their simple style and more about family and close friends coming together to celebrate Esmeralda."
It was Ryan's sister who brought the homemade cake and Eva's sisters and mum arrived early to help set up.
The source continued: "Some people brought wrapped gifts, including clothes and toys.
"One guest arrived carrying a rocking horse, and another had colorful plastic balls to fill a ball pit."
In a recent interview Eva, who starred in *Hitch *with Will Smith, revealed that sometimes her family "takes over" when they're around.
She told Glam Belleza Latina: "They take my baby! They start cleaning everything.
"They sound like a bunch of hyenas, yelling in Spanish, English, Spanglish. They sing [my daughter] all these Cuban nursery songs that I forgot my mom used to know...I'm so happy that my little girl gets to grow up with this."
Eva gave birth to Esmeralda on September 12 last year and at the time Ryan said he was "thrilled to have a little girl."
