Ryan Gosling set to make his return to acting!

Last year, Ryan explained he wanted to “take a break” from acting telling the* Associated Press*:

“I've been [acting] too much. I've lost perspective on what I'm doing. I think it's good for me to take a break and reassess why I'm doing it and how I'm doing it.

“And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does.”

But now he’s reportedly eyeing up two potential roles, one as Houdini (which mean we would see him topless!!) and* Doctor Strange*.

We are secretly hoping he chooses the one with the most flesh on show.

The Notebook star – who welcomed his first child, Esmerelda Amanda, with Eva Mendes last month – is said to be in talks with Marvel and Summit about the leading roles.

Joaquin Pheonix was linked to the role of Doctor Strange – a neurosurgeon who is asked to protect the earth – along with Benedict Cumberbatch.
