Ryan Reynolds was the man of the hour in last night’s Critics Choice Awards, taking home EW’S Entertainer of the Year, Best Actor in a Comedy and Best Comedy for his work on Deadpool. Charming as ever, he dedicated his speeches to the Make a Wish foundation and the screenwriters behind Deadpool.
But the best moment of the night was during his acceptance speech of Best Actor in a Comedy when he revealed he hadn’t prepared a speech and revealed his daughters, James’, first sentence. He said:
"I genuinely was not expecting this, I prepared nothing. So, I’m just going to focus on Tom Hanks."
Quoting the infamous Hanks film 'A League of Their Own', he joked: "No really though, you’re a huge influence on me. My 2-year-old daughter, the first full sentence she ever said was, 'There’s no crying in baseball.' I’m not even kidding."
HOW CAN HE BE THAT BEAUTIFUL, CHARMING AND HILARIOUS ALL IN ONE?
Tom was also in the audience, laughing along with Ryan who was up against Ryan Gosling, Hugh Grant, Dwayne Johnson and Viggo Mortensen. The only person missing was his insanely gorgeous wife, Blake Lively. But, we’re not complaining about his replacement date….
IT’S THE RYAN SANDWICH WE ALWAYS DREAMED OF. Monday morning doesn’t seem so bad now does it?
