We NEED to talk about Ryan Ruckledge’s ‘Hughie’ tattoo

Hughie and Ryan

What IS IT with reality stars getting their other halves' names tattooed on them RN? We have only just stopped reeling from Chantelle Connelly's tattoo of her boyfriend Tommy Sayers' name (y'know, the one who then dumped her over Facebook), and now Ryan Ruckledge has gone and got "Hughie" on his chest.

Unlike Chantelle's though, we are almost 100% sure this one's real – we can see the red marks around it. Also unlike Chantelle's, it's not on HIS NECK, meaning he can at least cover it up easily. Every cloud, eh?

One of the many thoughts we have about his tattoo is its timing. Why did he choose to get it BEFORE Hughie has even left the house? It might be just us, but if we were in a new relationship and our other half got our named inked on them without our knowledge, we'd be a bit freaked out.

It is kinda cute though, and out of all the romances in the house, we think that they're the most likely to last (though Marco Pierre White Jnr and Laura Carter and Alex Cannon and Evelyn Ellis aren't giving them much competition, TBH).

Ryan was hit by a big ol' dose of his past coming back to haunt him when he was evicted from the show. He had a hell of a lot of skeletons in his closet (that you'd think he'd have addressed pre-entering house), and he was forced to sort a lot of shit out.

Perhaps the most major of these was his apology to BB 13 winner Luke Anderson. Ryan had directed a horrific transphobic tweet toward him after he was announced as the winner, reading: "Luke A I really hope you make the most of your minge while you’ve got it cos we all no (sic) you gonna buy urself a black cock with your winnings!"

As a result, Luke A regularly tweeted condemning the contestant, saying things like: "Hughie you are so much better than that idiot you are with #bbuk" (which we all thought after seeing his past behaviour, TBH).

But soon after his eviction, Ryan (we're hoping without input from a PR) tweeted: "@JustLukeyA sincerely apologise and you don't have to accept my apology but I was young and naïve and I've learnt, hope all is well. X"

Luke (very graciously if you ask us) accepted the apology, saying: @ryruckledge thank you Ryan, I fully accept and thank you for the apology. Hope all is well after BB X"

We're really hoping Ryan's past behaviour is indeed the folly of youth and he and Hughie can skip off into the sunset (for the tattoo's sake more than anything).
