Viewers of Celebrity Gogglebox were left in shock during Friday night's episode, when they learnt Rylan wasn't the real name of popular TV presenter Rylan Clark-Neal.
Whilst sitting down to watch the likes of Harry and Sandra Redknapp, Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling, and Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, viewers witnessed Rylan's mum Linda call her son 'Ross'.
When The X Factor star tried to tempt his mum with an iced finger by saying, “I bet you’ll have one,” Linda replied adding, ”No I won’t – Ross will you stop it, I don’t want one."
Viewers of the popular show were quick to take to Twitter to comment on the new information, one user wrote, 'Hang on - Rylan's real name is Ross?!', with another writing, 'I cannot believe Rylan Clarke’s real name is Ross, dunno why but it’s too much info to take in on a Sunday '.
Another added, 'Never knew Rylan’s real name is Ross until I had to rewind gogglebox to see if I’d heard it correctly.'

Rylan, or should we say Ross, first adopted the name Rylan as a teenager, when he was attempting to pursue a modelling career.
Meanwhile, after lockdown rules were relaxed slightly, Rylan and his mum Linda were able to join the cast of Celebrity Gogglebox for the second series, as the pair are now able to create a 'bubble' under the new guidelines.
