Rylan Clark-Neal hits back at trolls who blasted him for taking time off from This Morning

Poor old Rylan Clark-Neal has been forced to hit back at trolls who attacked him for the utterly unforgivable crime of taking some time off work.

He told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield earlier this month: "I've not really said anything but after Christmas, next Friday, I'm going to be going away for a little bit.

"It's definitely not goodbye but I'm going to be taking a little bit of a break for a little bit in the new year.

"But I just want to say thank you because it's been lovely and I will be back. I will be back."

He also joked: "I'm going to be a florist with Elizabeth from the Apprentice.

(We would absolutely go to that florist)

Many people took that to mean he'd been given the boot from the show, and he hit back at these rumours on Twitter, saying: “Rumours in press why I’m ‘leaving’ or been ‘axed’ from @thismorning . Truth is I need a break. I’ve been working constantly for 5 years and I need some time to myself.

"I will still be at Big Bro. I just need to take some time to myself. That’s all. I’ll be back soon xxx".

But some weren't satisfied with his explanation, with one writing: "It must be exhausting talking for 20 minutes on telly."

Rylan then deleted his tweet, and posted a meme of him rolling his eyes captioned: “WHEN YOU PIT A NICE LITTLE TWEET UP AND PEOPLE PIPE UP..... I’ll just keep it simple....... I’ve not been sacked from @thismorning just having some time off that’s all. Night”.
