Kensington Palace confirmed the Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted to hospital in the early stages of labour.
The 33-year-old was driven from her apartment at Kensington Palace to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, west London, at 6am this morning, accompanied by hubby, Prince William.
But who's looking after their son, Prince George we hear you exclaim?! Never fear, the couple's nanny, Maria Borrallo, is looking after the tot, who is due to turn two in July.
The Duchess was around a week overdue and the has been much speculation all week that she may have to be induced.
A spokesman for the couple said: "The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted to St Mary's Hospital in the early stages of labour.
"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00hrs to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour.
"The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."
