With our diet season falling by the way-side we are all craving a good old Bake Off and the wait is almost over.
Put 11 February in your diaries because Paul Hollywood and Queen baking bee Mary Berry will return to judge the Comic Relief Celebrity Bake Off special.
And the all-star line-up has been revealed – kicking off with Joanna Lumley, Jennifer Saunders, Lulu and Dame Edna Everage who will have to bake a giant biscuit and create a signature chocolate cake inspired by a memorable event.
YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS LOT!
In week two, Jonathan Ross, Gok Wan, Zoella and Abbey Clancy will attempt to impress with cupcakes and a marble cake in the shape of their favourite building.
Week three will see Sarah Brown, David Mitchell, Michael Sheen and Jameela Jamil, all of whom will be attempting to bake shortbread and a three layered pavlova. And the final batch of celebrities showing off their baking prowess (or soggy bottoms) will be Victoria Wood, Alexa Chung, Chris Moyles and Kayvan Novak. They will have to produce a traybake and a “selfie vegetable cake”.
Hosting the comedy special of the BBC cookery show will be Mel & Sue, Ed Byrne and Jo Brand - each of whom will take on an episode to support the celebrities through the various challenges.
*The Great Comic Relief Bake Off kicks off on Wednesday, February 11 at 8pm on BBC One. *
A special edition of The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice will air on Red Nose Day (March 13) as the four star bakers from the series face off to win the Champion of Champions title.
