Sacha Baron Cohen has that rare gift for satirising his friends and getting away with it. In perfect comedic timing, Johnny Depp is the latest 'victim' of his skill for deadpan skit.
In an interview for their latest movie, Alice Through The Looking Glass, Sacha Baron Cohen dishes up a 'scoop' on his SPECIAL relationship with Johnny Depp.
When asked whether they're really good mates, the comedian responds:
"Best friends, we share a flat."
The interviewer laughs it off but Sacha goes on to reveal their day-to-day 'intimacies'.
He said: "We do. We've lived together on and off for the past 25 years.
"He'd say this: we have an open relationship. We have wives as well. But we live together, we do the washing, it's nothing sexual or rotten."
Post divorce secrets from Amber Heard, Johnny may be hard pressed finding someone else to wake up to every morning.
Sacha said: "there's no kisses, no hugs" just "see ya mate, have a good night's sleep".
In a previous interview on Sunrise, he'd joked that the film was a cover for Johnny's BIG dog smuggling operation – cramming dogs "like sardines" into his private jet for a personal delivery to dog-loving oligarchs and Chinese restaurants.
He said: "There are hundreds of animals in there, it's like bloody Noah's Arc."
Given Johnny's looking for new digs that private jet will certainly come in handy - unless Amber gets the arc and all its animals in the settlement.
