We’ve all seen the Kardashian sisters do battle when it comes to owning the spotlight, but the Faiers sisters aren’t much different – in their eyes, anyway.
An insider close to Billie and Sam tells heat that there is some friendly rivalry between the two sisters now that Billie is doing Dancing on Ice. While the sisters clearly get on well – as seen in their show The Mummy Diaries - it seems Billie’s new exercise regime for the ice-skating competition has got her feeling anxious, and Sam’s not that happy about it either.
“Like most women, they both have insecurities and they’re both very focused when it comes to their exercise and diet regimes,” our insider says of the former TOWIE stars. “Billie has been trying to tone up a bit as she’s going to be in sparkly see-through costumes soon, and she hula hoops round the clock to keep herself fit.
But what’s really got her worried is the fact that in rehearsals, she’s been told that she needs to start carb-loading for DOI, otherwise the training will really take it out of her.
She doesn’t want to start getting bulky but at the same time she knows she has to be strong for the show. Meanwhile Sam has been feeling extra self-conscious right now, and she’s worried that it’s only going to get worse once Billie goes on the show. She really wishes she was also doing something active and is trying to ramp up interest in doing some kind of reality show or challenge where she exercises as she wants to be able to keep up with Billie."

Maria Fowler in 2011
She had a very short time on TOWIE after she was dubbed "just a f***ing extra" by Kirk - harsh, right?
THE GLOW UP - Maria Fowler now
We use the term 'now" very loosely with Maria, this picture is from early 2017 - that's because we can't find any recent pics as she is keeping it on the down low. We do know that is she is a makeup artist now, she's married to Kelvin Batey and they're expecting their second child later this year.
Sam, 29, shared last year that she has stepped up her fitness regime, especially as she has to fit it around being a mother to Paul, four, and Rosie, two. Explaining that she was, “not exactly where I want to be weight wise”, in an interview last year, she admitted she would squeeze in training sessions before her kids even woke up.
While having to contend with Crohn’s Disease, Sam is clearly dedicated to keeping fit as she revealed last year, “I do three hour-long sessions a week of interval training and cardio.”
Whereas Billie, who once said she was, “never really a gym bunny”, has already been showing off the results of her fitness in skating rehearsals for DOI. Billie – who is mum to Nelly, six, and Arthur, three – once said that on TOWIE she was always known as, “Sam’s sister”, but that she was proud now that the sisters were, “popular in our own right”. And her star is only set to rise further once Dancing on Ice hits our TV screens, let’s hope Sam is ok with being known as, “Billie’s sister” from now on.
