Sam Lavery is one of the best things to come out of The X Factor this year.
Firstly – the girl can SING. We're still not over Total Eclipse of the Heart, tbh.
Second of all – she's our new beauty inspo. Does anyone rock a smokey eye and nude lip better?
Thirdly – she's totally honest what happened on The X Factor, and we love her for it. We sat down with Sam at The Clothes Show in Birmingham and got her to spill everything about her time on the show.
In case you've been living under a rock, Sam was mentored by Simon Cowell, who used to be one of the most feared judges on the panel. But has anyone else noticed that he's become Mr Not-So-Nasty lately?
Sam totally agreed, and thinks Simon has got less mean after having his son, Eric Cowell:
"He's still the judge who'll be 100% honest, but seeing him with Eric you can see where he's softened a little bit".
Aww!
Sam also got to meet her idols, Louisa Johnson, Olly Murs, Fleur and James Arthur:
"He went through a tough time, but it shows how much he loves music that he came back. He could have just given up, but he didn't."
Sam definitely has an opinion on the most controversial contestant of the series, Honey G. Little Mix think they have proof she's an actress, but Sam claims that’s rubbish:
"Literally, everything you see on a Saturday night is real. She did work hard and she practiced a lot, and what you see is what you get.
"If that's what's making her happy, then fair enough. People must have been voting for her."
Did she ever take her sunglasses off in the house? Appaz not. That's commitment.
Sam also spilled that Matt was her ultimate winner. She also thinks he's got that Christmas number one in the bag.
As for the rest of the contestants, Sam revealed that Jordan was like a hyper puppy and the funniest person in the house, and that Saara was the one person you wouldn't want to wake up in the morning.
Um, Saara might have to get used to those early mornings...
