Sam Reece: EVERYTHING you need to know about the tattooed fitster

Sam Reece has been popping up all over the internet of late, thanks to his girlfriend Stephanie Davis’ flirty exploits with Jeremy McConnell on Celebrity Big Brother. But with rumours flying about Sam making his own entrance into the CBB house, how much do we actually know about him? Like, how’s he suddenly so famous? Where did he get those piercing blue eyes? Sam has been making a name for himself as a male model at Manchester-based modelling agency Nemesis for the last year, where he’s fronted campaigns for the likes of Boohoo, Goodwin Smith and Foot Asylum.

His real name is Sam Reece Eckhardt, but he seems to have dropped it – presumably getting fed up of telling people how to spell it.

Sam got himself embroiled in a bit of a Twitter storm after appearing in the fifth episode of First Dates series 3, and all because he refused to pay for date Kathleen’s meal. Of course, given that it’s the 21st Century and we’re all for gender equality here, it’s perfectly normal to split the bill on dates. But Twitter wasn’t standing for it, and Sam even received death threats afterwards. “Obviously the show was edited in a certain way that made me look bad, but I’m really not like that personally,” he said of the show afterwards. “They tried to paint me as a ‘typical model’.

“We actually had a laugh on the date, and she was a really nice girl, but I ended up getting a lot of stick about splitting the bill. It was a really expensive meal, like £350, and I knew I wasn’t going to see her again, so what’s wrong with asking her to split the bill?”

Fair dos, really.

Before his relationship with Stephanie Davis, Sam and Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison were papped leaving a club together on a night out. However, Sam exclusively told heat that the February 2015 pictures had been cleverly taken. “When we left Bijoux, we walked out and my mates were on my left hand side and her mates were on my right hand side but the paparazzi cleverly cut the picture and you can’t see our mates in it, so that’s why it looks like it,” he explained. “The next day, everyone thought we were together. I promise, I’ve never dated her.”

Sam stands tall at 6 ft 2, with a teeny waist of 31.5inches and a 38” chest. His leg measurement (fnar) is 32”, and he’s got brown hair and blue eyes. He also boasts a size 8 shoe fitting, which is pretty impressive given how tall he is. How does he not fall over all the time?!

This celebrity couple got together soon after Sam’s First Dates appearance in spring 2015 and have been pretty much inseparable ever since, weathering Steph’s tumultuous exit from her Hollyoaks job and her botched attempt to get on I’m A Celebrity.

In September that year they even got matching ‘S’ tattoos on their wrists, which Stephanie debuted on Twitter with the hashtag ‘unbreakable’. They even moved in together around the end of 2015, just before Stephanie got called up for the CBB line-up.

But then: disaster. Despite Steph assuring Big Brother that she was totally in love with Sam (“even if I go for a poo, we speak to each other – there are no boundaries”), she quickly gravitated towards Irish model Jeremy McConnell (who just so happens to have a 10-inch penis. No joke). The pair became very close over the next few days, clearly flirting, touching and even going so far as kissing in front of the cameras.

Sam at this point had had enough – he tweeted to say he was withdrawing his support for Steph, but clarified this didn’t mean he’d dumped her. Who even knows what will happen when she leaves the house?
