Sam Smith has heavily hinted that he WILL BE recording the theme song for the new James Bond film, Spectre.

This hint came in the form of an Instagram snap of a guy - presumably Sammy - wearing a silver ring.

But not just any ring. A RING WITH THE LOGO ON THE NEW MOVIE ON IT!

RING! BOND! SAM SMITH! AHHH!

Now why else would he wear-and-post such a ring? He best not be teasing us, because we want to hear his heavenly voice singing songs about being a sexy British secret servant.

And we also want to Rupert Grint playing Bond.

All of this - it's too exciting!

Just three days ago Sam crashed our worlds by continuing to deny his musical involvement with the longest running film series. He told BBC Radio 2 that he's "definitely not" doing it.

He said:

"That's not me. That's definitely not me. I've still got loads to do, I've got an Australia tour, but I kind of finish in December which is great, it gives me a chance to be in London, be in my home and go out with my friends."

But now this, so, WHAT'S HAPPENING?

We're going to personally take this uncaptioned ring pic as Sam saying: "Yes I shall be recording the Spectre theme song, and yes I'm totally as excited as everyone at heat about it."

That cool? Cool.
