Sam Smith has split from his model boyfriend Jay Camilleri and has already moved on with former Hollyoaks actor Andy Newton Lee.
The singer has apparently decided to remain friends with Jay but Andy, who played “aspiring Casanova” Robbie Flynn in Hollyoaks in 2004 and released a Christmas single with The Cheeky Girls, has already caught his eye.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Jay and Sam are taking a step back as they found the attention a bit too much.
“They have decided to cool things off for now and have remained good friends. Luckily, it means Jay isn’t jealous of Sam kissing other boys and doesn’t mind that he’s started flirting with Andy.
“They met very recently and they instantly hit it off. It got pretty heated for them and they shared a kiss at the end of the night. Last week the pair even partied together at Coachella festival and Andy was gushing about Sam on social media.”
They added: “Andy is currently based in LA and Sam begged him to fly to London. Sadly Andy was unable to get the time off work but they are chatting all the time and planning their next date.”
Sam has been linked to a number of men in recent months including boyband singer TayTay Starhz and former The Only Way Is Essex star Charlie King.
