Flying news now, and rockabilly dinnerlady Sam Smith is afraid of it. Which is all fine and dandy, only he’s just added more dates to his sold-out world tour, so now he has to do a lot of it.
Anyway as he told The Sun, he gets around this vague fear by drinking gin, because he is so mad! So mad on gin! KEEP CALM and HAVE A RUDDY GIN, SAM SMITH. KEEP CALM and SING THAT SAME SONG ABOUT STAYING WITH ME AGAIN. KEEP CALM and SOMEHOW GET IN A FIGHT WITH RIFFRAFF.
“I hate planes and I hate flying,” Sam smithed. “So I am still getting used to that. I need some therapy and will have to see someone.”
He added that his coping strategy is as basic as he is: “I just drink alcohol. No pills, just gin. Loads of gin.”
Sam was only yesterday announced as a headliner at VEVO’s Manchester-based Hallowe’en party this year, alongside Ella Eyre and Gorgon City (?), so at least he can just use roads to get there, like a normal person. That said he also has tour dates in Australia in 2015 so, unless he sets off on a ferry ride there about now, he’s going to have to stock up on gin beforehand. The end.
