Sam Smith’s looking for love (and he’s taking a break from music to do it!)

Sam Smith’s decided to take a break and get out of the limelight for a while. Why? It’s to bag his perfect boyfriend of course. And to get some well needed downtime, of course.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2012 (and bagging his first number one in May 2013) Sam’s worked non-stop and, speaking to the Entertainment Tonight, he revealed he just wants to take some time away to be a normal person again. “I've been playing now for three years nonstop,” Sam said. “And it feels right for me to just go home and live my life — just be a 23-year-old.”

And with all this spare time on his hands, the Lay Me Down star is determined to find Mr Right, adding: “It'd be good to actually spend some time dating I think.”

But this break doesn’t mean Sam’s stopped working. He admitted he’s been “inspired the whole year” and explained: “I've found direction on what I want to say and how I want things to sound. But there’s a long ways to go.”
